I plan to try to find a way to play FLAC music files via UMS or Kodi. I still have a couple of other DVD sets to rip, but I will make an effort to figure out how to avoid these issues first may be by finding a way to have the subtitles in a separate file. I am not enthusiastic to do it all over again. Ripping 17 DVDs took a long time and was not fun. I have yet to figure out a way to extract the Subtitles into a separate.

I used HandBrake to rip the DVDs, and the subtitles were integrated into the MP4 by default (not burned or hardcoded).

I have not had these issues with full movies from Torrents. may not be memory related since the clip itself is like 7 MB only too. The skipping (de-sync) occurs within 2 sec of starting the clip. The movie starts with the fast forward and backward options greyed out. I have also tried to disable "Keep AC-3 tracks" in "Audio Settings" under "Transcoding Settings", but the out of sync still occurs. I have tried to change the ripping variables to no avail. I used Handbrake 1.0.1 and included the subtitles. I ripped the CDs so to be able to view them easier on the TV. My wife recently bought an old series "3rd Rock From The Sun". I have uploaded the shortest file that does this too. I have basic skills so I was not able to check of duplicate reporting.
