
Develops internal training for employees and potential programs for community education.Ĝoordinates with the Marketing and Public Relations Department to publicize the practices and the services of licensee Palmer physicians to the community.Provides support and assistance to the Office of Development, and participates in fundraising efforts on behalf of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute by meeting with potential donors and development patients and participating in community development program to successfully develop major donors.

Ĝompletes licensure requirements for the practice and the ASCASC.Ĝoordinates the desired accreditation applications and regulatory licensing requirements of the facilities.Supervises and directs satellite managers and on-site direct reports from other departments.Provides senior management of all aspects of the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute clinical operations at the satellite medical offices and ambulatory surgical centers (Palm Beach Gardens and Naples).Specific responsibilities to be determined and aligned based upon experience and with the progressive needs of the practice and the management team. This individual will assist in overseeing every aspect of both campus operations ensuring that excellence is achieved and sustained from delivery of clinical care to facilities maintenance with specific assignments based on expertise and progressive management development. This position works under the direction of the Executive Director of the Satellite practices with joint responsibility for the smooth, efficient, and cost-effective operation of both facilities - Palm Beach Gardens (7.4 acre campus that includes the 40,000 square foot ophthalmology medical office building, 10,000 square foot ambulatory surgery center, and expansion of an additional 20,000 square foot mixed-use, research and clinical care building) and Naples (22,000 square feet including the ambulatory surgery center). The opportunity to add research capacity to this practice will further develop the Bascom Palmer brand in the community. The practice is well established in the Palm Beach community, and is expected to continue to expand into the Lois Pope Retinal Research Building. The facility has approximately 125 employees, 10 full-time physicians, and 20 rotating part-time physicians. The physicians of Bascom Palmer perform over 3600 surgical procedures annually at the ambulatory surgery center.
